Autumn Dreams Quilt

I can't really come up with a description for this quilt, I think that the pictures say it all. It's got beautifully warm colors, the backing is a wonderfully soft mink blanket, and it's just super snuggly!

Oh, and one of the best things about it is that you can order this unique quilt pattern in whatever colors you want, just by selecting the custom option, and leaving a note of the colors that you would want gracing your couch x

I have always loved the process of creating a quilt, though it is definitely a time consuming one! The designs are created by me, so there is a lot of math to start with (not my strong suit to be sure) before the fun of choosing the colors and fabric begin! Then comes the cutting and stitching, ironing and pinning, before it all comes together into a layer of fabric that I then sew onto a soft blanket. The binding (the strip of fabric that wraps around the edge of the blanket to hold it in place and to cover the seam) is hand sewed to the back of the quilt, taking anywhere between 2-4 hours. Many a happy hour has been spent curled up on the couch with a quilt on my lap, stitching away whilst watching Pride and Prejudice....  

Care tips - If a bowl of ice-cream and hot fudge brownies accidently get upended on your quilt, do not stress! The quilt can be put in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Please avoid using the dyer the different fabrics may shrink differently, and you will be left with a lumpy quilt :( Simply drape over the washing line or lay flat and allow to dry. Ironing after is not needed or advised, the more you wash it the more comfy and cosy it will get.
